SATURDAY 24TH MAY
Topeng masked drama is a unique and ancient theatre form which incorporates storytelling, mask work, dance and physical characterisation.
The performance, which presents a rare opportunity to see Topeng masters on an international stage, will feature traditional dances performed in the traditionnal vibrant costumes and crafted masks.
Ida Bagus Alit is a lifelong performer of Topeng, who has skills, insights and innate knowledge of this extraordinary form of performance that few in the world possess.
